Welcome to year 2! We do lots of hands on learning through our inspiring and creative curriculum so it’s going to be an amazing year of investigating, exploring, learning and having fun together!
In Year 2, we want every child to be happy, excited and eager. We love nothing more than a bright smile coming through our classroom door every morning! We love to see you try your best and show us great independence and resilience. We are a classroom where we encourage every child to have the confidence to try new things and to know that when we find learning tricky, ‘that’s when the learning happens’. In Year 2 we all work together happily and we understand that ‘teamwork makes the dream work’.
We have a range of topics we will be exploring throughout the year and our ‘Big Questions’ this year are:
- Autumn – Plots, poppies and puddings. Would you prefer to live in a hot or cold country?
- Spring – How was school different in the past? Why is our world wonderful?
- Summer – How did we learn to fly? What is it like to live by the coast?
We look forward to sharing our new and exciting news with you about all the fantastic things that happen in our year 2 class.
